AIMMER - Crosshair Overlay
AIMMER
Privacy Policy
How AIMMER handles your data
AIMMER is a crosshair overlay for mobile games. It has no accounts and no sign-in, and the crosshairs you build never leave your phone. This policy explains that in full, including what our advertising and analytics partners collect, and how to control it.
In short
- You do not create an account, and we never ask for your name, email or phone number to use AIMMER.
- Your crosshairs, settings and favourite-games list are stored only on your device. We cannot see them.
- AIMMER shows advertising through Google AdMob and measures usage with Google Analytics for Firebase. Those services collect device identifiers and usage data, described in sections 5 and 6.
- AIMMER is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
- Deleting the app deletes everything AIMMER stored on your device.
01Who we are
AIMMER (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is published by D I SOLUTIONS. For the purposes of the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, we are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at any time at video.download.master@gmail.com.
This policy applies to the AIMMER Android application distributed on Google Play under the application ID com.aimmer.crosshair. It does not apply to the games you launch from AIMMER, or to any other website or service you reach through a link or an advertisement — those are governed by their own policies.
By installing and using AIMMER you accept the practices described here. If you do not agree with them, please uninstall the app.
02Data that never leaves your device
Everything AIMMER itself creates is written to private app storage on your phone. It is not uploaded to us, and we have no server that could receive it.
- Crosshair library
- The reticles you save — style, colour, size, opacity, and which one is active.
- App settings
- Your chosen language, and whether you have completed onboarding.
- Favourite games
- The package names of the games you pin to the home screen.
- Installed app list
- When you tap “+” to add a favourite game, AIMMER asks Android for the list of launchable apps so it can show you a picker. That list is read on your device, shown to you, and never stored, transmitted or shared.
We do not access your photos, contacts, files, microphone, camera, precise location, call logs or messages, and AIMMER cannot see the content of the games it draws over.
03Data collected through the app
AIMMER embeds software development kits (SDKs) supplied by Google. When the app is online, these SDKs collect data directly from your device and send it to Google. The categories below are what those SDKs collect; we receive only aggregated reports, never a list of identifiable users.
Identifiers
- Advertising ID (AAID) — a resettable, user-controlled identifier Android provides for advertising and analytics.
- Firebase installation ID — an identifier for this installation of the app, used to deliver configuration and to group analytics events.
- IP address — collected by Google's servers as part of any network request, and used to infer approximate location at country or region level.
Device and technical information
- Device model, manufacturer, operating system version, screen size and language.
- App version, and whether the device is online.
- Diagnostic information such as crashes and SDK errors.
Usage information
- Which screens you open and standard app lifecycle events (first open, session start, app update).
- Advertising events: an ad was requested, shown, clicked, closed, or a rewarded ad was completed.
Information you choose to send us
Tapping Feedback in Settings opens your own email app with a message addressed to video.download.master@gmail.com. Nothing is sent until you press send, and we then receive whatever you wrote and the email address you sent it from. We use it only to answer you, and delete correspondence once the matter is closed and no longer needed for our records.
04Permissions we request
Android permissions grant capabilities, not data. Here is every permission AIMMER declares and the single reason it exists.
- SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW
- Display over other apps. This is the core function: it lets AIMMER draw your crosshair on top of your game. The overlay is non-interactive and cannot read, record or touch anything underneath it. You grant this yourself in Android Settings and can revoke it at any time.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE
FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE - Keeps the overlay running reliably while you play, instead of being stopped in the background. Android requires a visible notification whenever this service runs.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS
- Shows that overlay notification, which doubles as the quick control for switching your crosshair off. You may decline it; the overlay still works.
- QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES
- Lets AIMMER see which games are installed so the “Favourite games” picker can list them and launch them. The list is used on your device only.
- INTERNET
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - Loads advertising and configuration, and detects when you are offline so the app can tell you rather than sit and spin. Added automatically by the Google SDKs the app uses.
05Advertising and Google AdMob
AIMMER is free and is funded by advertising served through Google AdMob. Ads appear as banners inside a screen, as full-screen ads between screens, and as an optional rewarded video you may choose to watch.
To select and measure those ads, Google and its advertising partners collect and process the data in section 3 — in particular your advertising ID, IP address, device information and your interactions with the ads. Depending on your settings and your region, this may be used to show you personalised advertising based on inferred interests, or non-personalised advertising based only on general context such as country and app.
Google's handling of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and its Privacy Policy. The advertisers and networks Google may share ad requests with are listed in Google's advertising partners documentation.
Consent where the law requires it
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on your consent before your data is used for personalised advertising. That consent is requested through Google's certified consent management platform the first time AIMMER loads advertising, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the privacy option inside the app. Withdrawing consent does not remove advertising — it makes it non-personalised.
Turning personalisation off anywhere
On any Android device you can open Settings → Privacy → Ads and either reset your advertising ID or delete it entirely. Deleting it stops apps, including AIMMER, from receiving an advertising identifier at all.
06Analytics and remote configuration
Google Analytics for Firebase
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how AIMMER is used in aggregate — how many people open it, which screens are reached, which versions are in the wild, and where the app crashes. We use this to fix problems and decide what to build. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not attempt to link it to any other information about you.
Firebase Remote Config
Remote Config lets us change settings — such as which advertising slots are enabled, how often full-screen ads may appear, and the address of this policy — without shipping an app update. Delivering that configuration involves sending your installation ID and basic device information to Google.
Google Play services
AIMMER uses Google Play's in-app update and in-app review features. Google handles both entirely: it tells the app whether an update exists, and it decides whether to show a rating prompt. We never see your rating or review through the app, and we never learn whether you left one.
07Why we process your data
For users in the UK and EEA, the table below sets out our purposes and the legal basis for each under Article 6 of the GDPR.
| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Running the app and drawing your overlay | On-device data only (section 2) | Performance of a contract |
| Showing personalised advertising | Advertising ID, IP address, device and ad interaction data | Consent |
| Showing non-personalised advertising and preventing ad fraud | IP address, device data, ad interaction data | Legitimate interests — funding a free app and protecting it from abuse |
| Measuring use, fixing crashes, improving the app | Installation ID, device and usage data | Consent, or legitimate interests where consent is not required |
| Answering your support email | Your email address and message | Legitimate interests — responding to your request |
| Meeting legal and Google Play obligations | As required | Legal obligation |
08Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own independent marketing. Data is shared only with the service providers that make the app work:
- Google AdMob
- Serving, capping and measuring advertising. Google acts as an independent controller for some of this processing. Privacy policy
- Google Analytics for Firebase
Firebase Remote Config - Usage measurement, crash reporting and app configuration. Firebase privacy
- Google Play services
- App distribution, in-app updates and review prompts.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to — for example in response to a valid court order — or where it is necessary to investigate fraud or protect our rights, and to a buyer if the app is ever sold or transferred, in which case this policy continues to apply until you are told otherwise.

10Children and families
AIMMER is a utility for mobile gamers and is not directed to children. Its Google Play target audience is 13 and over, and it is not enrolled in the Designed for Families programme.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country — for example 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not ask for age, name, email or any other identifying detail, and there is no profile, chat, messaging or user-to-user feature in the app.
Because the app is not directed to children, we do not enable child-directed treatment or under-the-age-of-consent tagging on our advertising requests. Advertising is filtered to a maximum content rating of Teen in the AdMob console.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through AIMMER, please write to video.download.master@gmail.com. We will delete the data and, where applicable, ask Google to do the same. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Google Play Families policy, and Article 8 of the GDPR.
11Your choices and controls
- Reset or delete your advertising ID
- Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Deleting it stops AIMMER and every other app from receiving an advertising identifier.
- Change your advertising consent
- If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, reopen the privacy option in AIMMER to change or withdraw the choice you made.
- Turn the overlay off
- Switch your crosshair off in AIMMER, or revoke “Display over other apps” in Android Settings.
- Turn notifications off
- Android Settings → Apps → AIMMER → Notifications.
- Delete everything
- Uninstall AIMMER, or use Settings → Apps → AIMMER → Storage → Clear data. Either removes your crosshairs and settings permanently.
- Stop cloud backup
- Turn off Google backup for AIMMER in Android Settings → Google → Backup.
12Your rights
UK, EEA and Switzerland
You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
California
Under the CCPA and CPRA you may request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and its purposes, request deletion, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising personalisation may qualify as “sharing”, and you may opt out by deleting your advertising ID as described in section 11 or by emailing us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Everywhere else
Whatever your location, you may write to us and ask what we hold and ask us to delete it, and we will honour the request.
Making a request
Email video.download.master@gmail.com with the subject line “Privacy request”. Because AIMMER has no accounts, we usually cannot connect a request to a specific device unless you supply your advertising ID, so please include it if your request concerns advertising data. We respond within 30 days.
13Retention and deletion
- On-device data is kept until you delete the crosshair, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app.
- Analytics data is retained by Google for the period configured in our Firebase project, after which it is deleted automatically.
- Advertising data is retained by Google under its own retention schedules, described in Google's privacy policy.
- Support email is kept only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry and any follow-up.
14Security and backups
AIMMER stores your data in the app's private storage area, which Android isolates from other apps. All network traffic between the app and Google's services is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Because we operate no servers and hold no user database, there is no central store of AIMMER users to be breached.
AIMMER participates in Android Auto Backup: your crosshair library and app settings may be copied to your own Google Drive backup and restored when you set up a new device. That backup belongs to your Google account, is governed by Google's privacy policy, and is not accessible to us. You can disable it as described in section 11.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15International transfers
Google processes data on servers in the United States and other countries, which may have different data protection laws from your own. Where data is transferred out of the UK or EEA, Google relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Details are in Google's Ads Data Processing Terms.
16Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes or the law does. The “Last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will tell you in the app or on the Google Play listing before it takes effect, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent again. Continuing to use AIMMER after a change means you accept the updated policy.
